Introduction to Teacher as Coach
This programme
is recommended for people in learning institutions who seek greater knowledge
with respect to how coaching works.
Students will
be learning the key principles of Coaching as and will understand how
this is applied through a Model of Coaching.
The programme
is run on accelerated learning techniques, and applies extensive use of
experiential learning. The learning environment is self-directed, and allows
for individual differences in learning styles.
Programmes are
usually run on a group basis, with of four to six people
Outcomes

An understanding of the principles of Coaching

An understanding of the core competencies of a Coach and the
differences between coaching and other tools or methods of developing people

Understanding the application of coaching in a teaching
setting, its benefits, traps and pitfalls

Successful Graduates receive credits towards further
education in coaching. The hours accrued through this training can also be
credited towards an International Qualification (ACC)

Note: This programme does not qualify the attendee to
undertake coaching. It is an introductory, informative module which is part
of the full Teacher as Coach Programme

5 Hours Coach Specific Training
-
As with all training with the NZSC, this Programme is
experientially based, with a balance of:
-
Classroom work, practice labs and Coaching
-
Training can be conducted individually, face-to-face, or in
small groups with teleclasses.
Completion
This is gained through attendance at all modules, completion of
practice labs and participation in coaching sessions.
Pricing
$580 and
a further $300 each per month for four months coaching following the
programme.
