Professional Supervision Training

 

This programme is recommended for Coaches who have completed Level 1 Applied Coach Education or a similar programme with another school.  (with a minimum of 60 coach specific training hours). It is very likely that you will have gained or will soon be gaining your ACC with the International Coach Federation. 

 

The PST is part of the Level 2 Dip. Coaching programme.  To graduate with the Dip. Coaching, you will need to complete at least two 25 credit units and 2 8 credit units, giving you 66 credits in all.  The PST will give you  8 credits towards the Dip. Coaching

 

You will be learning best practice techniques and will, by the completion of the programme, be able to competently apply your skills in the real world. 

 

The programme is run on accelerated learning techniques, and applies extensive use of experiential learning.  The learning environment is self-directed, and allows for individual differences in learning styles.

 

Outcomes    

 

  •  Competence in working with people as a Professional Coach Supervisor

  •  Understanding and competence in merging your coaching skills with professional supervision and knowing the difference between the two.

  •  Model used: “Reflective Learning in Supervision” 

  •  Successful students (completion of the programme) receive 8 Coach Specific Training hour credits.   The hours accrued through this training can be credited towards an International Credentialing with the ICF.

Practical Assignment

You will be required to undertake a practical assignment/study in the field of Professional Supervision.  This will preferably be a research study, but will also involve the application of professional supervision skills.  The topic for this is determined following discussion with the student.

 

 

Duration and Delivery   

 

  • 8 Hours Coach Specific Training, conducted over 8 weeks.

  • As with all training with the NZSC, the Programme is experientially based, with a balance of:

  • Classroom work, homework, practice labs and Coaching

  • Training is conducted in small groups (up to four).  Coaches who live out of reach of a local Training School are able to undertake our distance programme which follows the same format above. 

  • Trainees will receive comprehensive notes with the programme

 

 

Certification

 

  • The credits gained from this programme are able to be used as part of the 66 credits required for the Dip. Coaching.  The credits are also applicable for accreditation through the ICF.

  • Graduation from this programme requires successful completion of the programme modules and practical assignment.

 

 

Pricing

 

$450 each for a group of 4 or more and a further $175 per month for 4 months professional supervision following the programme.  Or $1440 for a 1:1 programme. Prices are subject to GST.
